报告摘要(Abstract

Laser light scattering (LLS) is an absolute technique and used extensively in polymer science. From static laser light scattering (SLS), the molar mass, radius of gyration and second virial coefficient of polymer chain and colloid particle can be obtained. From dynamic laser light scattering (DLS), the distribution of translation diffusion coefficient G(D) and then average hydrodynamic radius (Rh) of polymer chain and colloid particle can be  achieved.  By  the  combination  of  SLS  and  DLS,  the  conformational/relaxation information of polymer chain and the association/aggregation behavior of polymer assemblies can be further acquired. Therefore, LLS technique has been successfully adopted to investigate in the areas of polymer solution/colloid, polymer self-assembly, stimuli-responsive polymer and micro/nano-gel. In this lecture, the principle of LLS and fascinating examples are presented.
