报告摘要:Dissipative particle dynamics (DPD), which describes clusters of molecules moving together in a Lagrangian fashion, is a typical mesoscopic simulation method for the dynamic and rheological properties of simple and complex fluids. The DPD method can be viewed both from bottom-up (coarse-graining of molecular dynamics) and top-down (mess-free discretization of Navier-Stokes equation) approach. In this talk, DPD method is used to simulate complex fiber dynamics in both blood flow and stagnation-point flow, the results are qualitatively compared with continuum simulations, which provide DPD is a relative promised simulation tools to explore complex fluids. Furthermore, single particle DPD model are also discussed and extended to study anisotropic colloidal particles suspensions with affordable computational cost.
