报告摘要

Nuclear energy always accompanies radiation and many radiation effects appear in nuclear technology. I plan to introduce the radiation effects observed in nuclear engineering such as water radiolysis at high temperatures and radiolysis of concentrated acids, and present some related research results done by our group.

Prof. Yosuke Katsumura

Prof. Yosuke Katsumura got his Ph.D degree in the University of Tokyo in 1981. He became the faculty of engineering in the University of Tokyo in 1984. Now, he is also the Division Head of Water Chemistry, the Atomic Energy Society of Japan and Fellow of the Atomic Energy Society of Japan. Prof. Yosuke Katsumura has published more than 250 peer papers. He won AARR (Asian Association of Radiation Research) Award (2013), Award of the Japan Society of Radiation Chemistry (2005), NSA Foundation (1995). His  research interests involve:

• Radiation chemistry in nuclear engineering
• Ultra-fast processes in radiation chemistry
• Radiation chemistry of high temperature and supercritical water
• Ion beam radiation chemistry
• Free radical chemistry of antioxidants and drags
• Radiation effects in water chemistry
