10月26日上午10:30材料楼5楼会议室,来自Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research 的 Christoph Bubeck教授为我系师生作题为“Structure-property relations of alkyl-substituted poly(p-phenylenevinylene)s for optoelectronics and photonics”的学术报告。
Christoph Bubeck studied physics and received his PhD from the University of Stuttgart in 1979 for EPR investigations of the photopolymerization of diacetylene single crystals. After a postdoctoral year at the IBM Research Laboratory in San Jose, USA, he joined Prof. Wegner’s group at the University of Freiburg and studied optical properties of Langmuir-Blodgett multilayers. Since 1984 he has been a member of the scientific staff of the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research. He received his habilitation for Experimental Physics in 1993 for his work on spectroscopy and nonlinear optics of ultrathin layers and is lecturing at the physics department of the University of Mainz where he was appointed Professor (apl.) in 2001. His current research interests focus on optoelectronic properties of conjugated polymers, especially the linear and nonlinear optical properties of thin polymer films including spectroscopic studies of their molecular structure.
