报告摘要 |
In many applications the entropic elasticity displayed by high molecular weight polymers is very useful, providing the building blocks of soft solids such as self-adhesive materials, hydrogels or rubbers. While classical applications of covalently crosslinked rubbers are well-known to polymer scientists, the mechanics of imperfect networks containing covalent bonds but also supramolecular interactions such as hydrogen bonds, entanglements and where the polymer chains are diluted in a solvent are more complex to understand at the frontier between liquids and solids. We will discuss some recent results obtained in our laboratory on soft supramolecular adhesives (Adv. Funct. Mat, 2010), soft-soft nanocomposites (Soft Matter, 2009) and dual urethane-acrylic hybrid networks (Macromolecules in press). |
