报告摘要 The Maxwell-Wagner effect accounts for charge accumulation at the interface between two different materials. That is this effect tells us that charge accumulation at the material interface is due to the difference of relaxation times of the interfacing two materials. In organic devices, this effect is well utilized. We can see examples in in organic field effect transistors, Organic Electroluminescence devices, Organic Solar cells, and so forth, where the device structure is a multilayer system comprised of different materials,  and accumulate charges at the interface are well utilized for the device performance. I will show that the EFISHG experiment verifies the presence of charge accumulation at the interface, and also carrier motion at the interfaces. On the other hand, there are a variety of materials and many of them are soft. Accordingly, they are capable of changing shapes and their forms by external stimuli, such as pressure, light, electric field, etc. As typical examples, we can see vesicle deformation in solution, and monolayer domain shape deformation. Here I will show that the Maxwell Wagner effect charging at the interface gives a significant effect from the on-going experiment in my lab.
